Important Notes:

  1. Regarding the two-phase abstract submission deadline:
The early deadline is primarily for those requesting funding support, and also for anyone who needs an acceptance/invitation letter by May in order to proceed to book travel. Submitting early will not otherwise impact your likelihood of having your abstract accepted, and it will not otherwise impact your chances of being able to attend the meeting.
  2. Please know that everyone who wants to attend must register (& pay fee, unless provided with a Fee Waiver by the Organizing Committee).
  3. Presenters of accepted abstracts only are automatically eligible to attend (unless provided with an Abstract Waiver by the Organizing Committee).
  4. All interested but are not auto-eligible may request approval from Organizing Committee.
Please email your requests to palsea2022@meetmatt.net

How to Submit Abstract

1. Create user account/login with your email and password here: https://palsea2022.meetmatt-svr.net/
The account enables a user to perform tasks like edit submission(s), monitor review status, view registration records, download/print invoices, receipts, and presenter schedule, keep track of what’s new on the announcement board.
2. On the left menu, click ‘My Submissions’ under ‘Author Options’
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to submit your abstract.
  • An abstract ID will be assigned to each successfully submitted abstract. For faster service, please quote your abstract ID in all correspondence.
3. Guidelines
  • English is the official language throughout the meeting.
  • Only abstracts received via the PALSEA 2022 submission portal will be considered.
  • The maximum limit is 2 abstracts per submitting author.
  • Abstract should contain text only (no graphics or mathematical equations) and may not exceed 300 words.
  • Authors will be required to state their preferred presentation mode (Oral, Poster or Either) which is usually honored though not guaranteed to be satisfied.
  • Authors can make changes to their abstracts but must be before review decisions have been made. Example of changes: abstract title and/or contents, add/remove/re-order authors, withdraw an abstract etc.
  • All co-authors must be added to prevent omission from all publications and the author index.
  • All abstracts are subject to a peer review process. Reviewers are the conference’s scientific committee of experts in fields specifically matching the conference topics.
  • By submitting the abstract, you are granting PALSEA 2022 organizers permission to disseminate it electronically.
4. Review & Acceptance
  • Abstracts will be reviewed based on their contents and scientific merit.
  • Authors will be notified of review decisions in two batches:
    • 17–23 May 2022 for abstracts submitted by Mon 16 May 2022, 23:59 UTC, and
    • 07–13 June 2022 for abstracts submitted by Mon 06 June 2022, 23:59 UTC.
  • Acceptance is on condition that at least one author will register and present the abstract at the conference.
5. Meeting Registration
  • Only presenters of accepted abstracts are eligible to register for PALSEA 2022, unless provided with an Abstract Waiver by the Organizing Committee.
  • The registration deadline is Tue-21 June 2022, 23:59 UTC. After this date, abstracts not associated with any registrant will be deleted from the program.
  • Each registration/paid fee covers UP TO TWO presentations.
  • At the time of registration, ID of the abstracts to be presented must be provided.
  • By default, the registrant is deemed to be the presenter. This must be an author/co-author, but this need not be the first author, nor the author who initially submitted the abstract.
